Fager Anna Sweet Iron Universal

Fager Anna is a single-jointed bit incorporating Fager’s Smart System FSS™, an innovative design which creates a unique three-way locking system to prevent the bit from overbending which can cause discomfort and pain.

The key difference between regular lockups and FSS™ is more significant than you might initially think as the FSS™ continues to work through all head positioning.

When working in a low position (e.g. stretching out) or a higher position (e.g. over a jump), the closure continues to work, even if the reins pull the bit upwards; making the bit turn downwards – this is where a regular lockup would fail. Therefore our FSS™ is considerably more forgiving against any unexpected movements of your hands.

Anna features Fager's patented Baby Fulmer cheeks, which are curved to avoid any pressure on the horse's face. The Baby Fulmers stabilize the mouthpiece inside the mouth whilst the endings are created straight with the same thickness all the way to stabilize the rings.

We added the Universal rings to allow variation of the leverage to suit different situations and horses:

For maximum leverage, attach the reins to the bottom ring and this creates a gag effect.

For a mix which emulates a mix of a Baucher bit and loose rings, attach the reins to the middle ring.

We also recommend using the Fager hooks and Chain to distribute the pressure more evenly between the poll, chin, and mouth.
